Giving feedback via live chat on their website just gets you a generic “I’ll give that feedback to management”. As there are no companion or spectator tickets that’s an extremely large expense.įYI when we booked our vacation these rides were not listed as closed, and due to Spring Break dates we did not have the option to cancel closer to the timing of the vacation. TMNT Shellraiser, Sandy’s Blasting Bronco, Skyline Scream…īefore you come, check which rides are open so you can save yourselves $100 a ticket for so many similar rides they can experience at local carnivals. We are extremely disappointed today that all of the more “adult” options are not available. Given that the park is only open 11-7, there are many overnight hours when this could be performed so as not to affect the customer experience. We paid Peak prices for tickets and the biggest rides are all closed for “maintenance”. Spent a day at the Water Park which was great. We brought two 12 year olds to the Mall/Attractions during CT Spring Break. Many people around us were assuming the two were the same facility: they aren't. However, doing so could cost you almost $200 during peak times since they are separate admission. If you wanted to visit this park and the adjacent Dreamworks Water Park in the same day, you probably could time-wise. This bothered some of the families with small children. There were a lot of adults going on the kid's rides since so many adult rides were shut down. This isn't really a problem since the mall has plenty of places to eat and they were letting people re-enter (and wasn't a problem for us personally since we were eating at Medieval Times) There are no real places to eat within the park. Some other things you may want to be aware of: Whether you are a kid who currently loves Nickelodeon or an adult who wants to nostalgically revisit a huge part of their childhood, you will have a great time. The majority of adult-specific rides go upside-down, leaving a small amount to do for adults who cannot or will not go on such ridesĭespite these caveats, we had an amazing time. Three of the rides I was most looking forward to were broken down. From what I understand, this is a common occurrence. This is a lot for a park that has a limited number of rides to begin with. Four rides were broken down, all of which were adult rides. I've visited full-day-length amusement parks for a cheaper price. The park was very expensive ($69 per adult) for a park that takes three hours maximum to visit. While we had an amazing time, I do have the following caveats: Getting to high-five the Ninja Turtles and see SpongeBob and Sandy dancing was a huge plus. We loved all of the rides we went on, especially the Shredder roller coaster, and the nostalgic Nickelodeon atmosphere. There were little to no lines for every ride, probably because of how early we arrived. Since our bus arrived half an hour before the 11:00 AM opening and we bought our tickets online (separately from the tour package), this gave us just enough time to ride all of the rides we wanted and go to a couple of character shows. Our tour bus stopped at American Dream for 2 and 1/2 hours before continuing to Medieval Times.
